If I could bring my dog Lily with me everywhere I probably would. She has already been on multiple flights with me and she loves her Timbuk2 Muttmover Backpack! Luckily I live near a pretty dog-friendly part of Minneapolis called Uptown, which I will now call “Puptown” (thanks to the fantastic Apple employee who introduced me to that new name!!), so we can go on fun outings together especially during the cold and yucky months.
There are so many amazing dog-friendly places in a small radius so Lily and I spent an afternoon hanging out at some we haven’t been in before. We didn’t hit up the dog-friendly Target (yes, that’s right, a dog-friendly Target!! Your dreams HAVE come true!) in Puptown this time, but you can check out the Sidewalk Dog blog post with Lily’s photo. 😉
First up was Urban Outfitters where turns out Lily doesn’t know how to hold still if I want to put things on her head…
Next up was the Apple store! Always a hit with kids, and now dogs too!! She got so much attention I forgot to take more photos! Also this is where I heard “Puptown” mentioned 🙂
Then off to Magers & Quinn Bookstore where we found the pet section, of course.
Next we went to one of my favorite card/craft/gift stores, and I didn’t know it was dog-friendly until I asked on our afternoon walk! I was so excited to bring Lily in Paper Source!!
Last on our afternoon tour was CB2! Talk about some fun photo ops!!
A couple other spots near-by, but not on this block, are Barnes & Noble and our local Chuck & Don’s! We go there pretty frequently and Lily is a fan!
This post was inspired by the Pet Photography 52 Weeks Project blog circle theme, “A Day in the Life”, so if you’d like to see more from this theme check out John Bouma with MaxNorman Pet Photography serving the South Florida Area!
What a fun afternoon you two must have had! Wonderful images!
Lily is fantastic- I particularly love her beret. Such a fashionista. I too would take my Truffles everywhere with me if I could.
The whole time I was thinking your back has to be killing you with how low you have to get down to photograph Lily. hee hee
LOL! This is why I wear stretchy pants Ha! Also, yay for yoga!! 😉
What fun little spots in Puptown! I think my favorite may be the one of her in the beret!
find an Urban Outfitters near you for that adorable beret! I think they are all dog friendly <3
Wow what a brilliant post. The lighting is gorgeous. How cool that you got to visit all those places!
Wow, it must be nice to be able to take your dog into so many different places – I don’t have that luxury here in Tampa – they can go in pet stores and just a small handful of other places. Great photos – were you lying down to get them down at Lily’s level??
Minneapolis is definitely doing a great job with the dog-friendly spots!
And yep, pretty low to the ground LOL. mostly sitting in a nice hamstring stretch with elbows on the ground to stabilize. Ha!!
How awesome to be able to take your Lily shopping with you!, and she looks right at home ! Fabulous post and great pictures. You must have had a lot of fun!
Looks like so much fun! These are all great images of Lily! It’s wonderful that she is so comfortable in new places! A great companion! That beret is adorable 🙂 loved reading this!
